Default backfire

so i searched, found nothing related. looked in other forums, couldnt pick which one it should go in...so here it is.

only at 4500 and above at WOT, backfire/slight miss(maybe). when it happens i can def feel it through the car. but the car still pulls hard, just loud popping is occuring. im going to try and resest the pcm tomorrow, and check the grounds. any other suggestions?

at first look it sounds like detonation, get a run logged on autotap (or equivilant) and ensure you are not picking up knock. often times a tune that is ok for daily driving can bee too lean at wot, or have too much timing advance...

if you get more details on what your hearing keep us informed

is there anything you changed recently?

other then that i would start some basic maitnance...
take off your maf, clean it with some isopropenal.
check your plugs and wires.

and logging a run would still be useful in trouble shooting this

Hey my car did that too and got worse every time at high rpms and when it shifted into a gear fast. Only did it when I took the car at high rpms. So took it to a pro auto and said the plugs in the LS1 MOTORS where recalled and that they need to install a hotter plug and re gap to a new gap measurment. He showed me this on the internet that mech. have access to I change mine and it runs like a dream again. let me know hope this helps
