My latch has only been stuck a couple of times in the winter, and it doesnt pop up it just releases, but the 98's werent suppose to 'pop-up' i dont think. the only problem i've had w/the 98 is the AC compressor doesnt shut off in time at WOT, and my car see's alot of WOT so it burned it up, but now its replaced and shuts off intime (tuning) and 28k on a 99 is VERY nice, my car has almost 100k more than that and it still runs like a champ, no power loss here!

Yeah... they might as well have used a 5 gallon jug. These cars will pass nearly everything except a gas station.

Actually, I've always felt that these cars get pretty damn good gas mileage until you start with the bigger mods. Stock to minor bolt-on level, the mileage is great for a 300+hp V8 car, IMO.

Even when modded they still get pretty good mileage. I'm only down about 2mpg from stock.

Yeah, they do with a 6-speed anyway. My WS6 dropped quite a bit with the 3500 stall and cam. I was getting about 5-6mpg less than stock in the city. But the performance gain was BIG.
