Canister next to A/C Compressor

Canister next to A/C Compressor
What's that canister next to the compressor with a plug connected to it? I accidentally left it unhooked and threw like 6 codes. Any ideas?

Do you mean the silver canister with the two black hoses to the left of the alternator.
Here is a pic of ZAngel's engine (I hope she doesnt mind):
I think thats the Evaperator (EVAP error code ?) for the AC system. If you disconnected that then you probably lost all your refrigerant and you wont get any cold air out of the vents when you turn on the AC.

EVAP error codes are not a/c related. The pertain to the EVAP system (fuel vapor purge valve and collection system), it differs from the a/c's evaporator.
