Can someone explain cutouts for me?

What are they and how do they work?

How much to buy, and who makes em.

They are usually placed betwenn the cats and muffler, and let the exhaust gas escape before hittin the muffler. Thus increasing power and making the car sound alot louder. You should be able to buy them from any vendor here.

they bypass your muffler or cats if you wish (you would have to have two because of the Y-pipe if you went this way) Some are electric and some are capped/uncapped
