i like both cars, own a M6 2oo1 Z, my bud and i were talkin cars and i told him the goat weighs more than the Z, hence teh slower stock ETs, he says nonsense it has 60+ more HP....what is the real deal, to settle a bet (and a six pack !) stock for stock same driver, who should have it in the quarter?

The GTO doesnt have anymore horse power unless you're talking about the 05. The 04 is rated higher, but the Z28 makes 350 like the GTO no matter what it says. Nonetheless, an 04 GTO will get beat by a Z28, but an 05 should give the Z28 the better run.
