Is it just me or when you go from 4th to 5th gear it feels like the car sorta loses alittle go? Don't get me wrong it still pulls just it seems different.

Uhhh.....of course it does, you're going to a higher gear, so you lose some acceleration ability. I'm pretty sure 4th is 1:1 and 5th is an overdrive gear.

correct, 5th is overdrive. I think it's ~0.75:1 and sixth is 0.5:1. Having to shift into fifth does slow things down a bit.

The T-56 is really a four speed double overdrive trans.
