Default Gas Mileage w/ Mods

Just thought it was funny as I filled up yesterday and checked my mileage.

'99 Trans Am
A4, 3.42 gears
TCI 4000/2.7 stall
221/221 .558/.558 112 cam
Long tubes, no cats, true duals

In completely mixed driving (town, highway, interstate), with multiple WOT runs, the car still turned in over 18 MPG. I think on an interstate road trip with no WOT runs I could see close to if not over 25 MPG (previous best stock with 2.73 gears was 27+ on a road trip with very little WOT time).

Not too bad I dont think.

Its crazy but i think i get just as good of gas mileage now as i did when i was stock. I took a 2,600 mile trip to florida and back last summer in my H/C/I stall car and got over 24mpg.

You have the old T1 cam I see. Me too, and with all my mods the car still gets areound 18 miles to the gallon in mixed driving. It actually got more than that before the tune(probly cuz it was running so lean )

4k stall and a cam with 13.5* of overlap at .05 (MS3). I don't get good city mileage at all. Probably 12-15 depending on traffic and how I drive. Best I've ever managed was something like 23-24 mpg going ~60 mph on a highway coming back from the track.

After I tuned my car it was good for 25mpg on the highway. But if I laid into the pedal I swear I could actually see the gas gauge move.
