In my TA, I used to get 260-310 a tank, depending on highway and city driving. And that was an A4. So that's roughly 18.5-22.1

NOW in My A4 Goat, the digital readout on the dash says 16.9 AVERAGE!
But the car only has 3,600 miles on it....so maybe it will get better.
At 2.79 for 91 octane my ATM gets scurred sometimes.

lol scurrdy cat ATM lol
yeah i heard that the motor gets better as it gets more miles broken into to it, is that right, i know tht its true to the older cars, for the rings are adjusting and getting settled in their new homes, but i heard something about they get stronger with more miles on it but not like 20,000 miles,

Mines an M6. I get 350-390 per tank or about 28-29 mpg. Just drive the car easy and I bet it will get better mileage.

Its not necessarily about driving slowly. Because you can be doing 70 on the highwayy and be getting around 25mpg. It's more about where your RPMs are. If you accelerate slowly and then cruise and let your RPMs drop, I guarantee you will get better gas mileage.

I'm looking at getting a 1998-2002 Trans Am or Z28. I didn't want to start a new thread for this and this thread seems kind of fitting. So do these cars require premium gas?

lol made sure that you didnt have any other exaust problems huh? yeah i want to do that but dont have the money, how long do you think the cats will last until it gets pretty bad? also do you recomend drilling a hole at the bottom of the cat and letting the little gravel trash get blown out? (have you noticed im cheap?)

get the lucas upper cylinder lubricant and fuel injector cleaner. I use it and get on average 20 miles more per tank than when i dont. Its pretty good stuff. I love it. Also, I was only getting 180 to a tank when i was running low octane gas after i first got it, once i started running premium 91, the mileage steadily increased to around 250 - 260, but that only cause I have the 3.23's or i think it might be higher yet! Also when i use the lucas product i mentioned before, ive gotten 290 to a tank, which translates to about 21.5mpg on a 98 such as mine.

i didn't want to pay $ for labor + price of a stock cat, and end up spending all this money and in the end gaining nothing.

i wasnt able to find any high flow cats thatd bolt up to the stock flattened ypipe ... so i needed to buy a catted ypipe. and then that didnt bolt up to the stock headers, so got those.

oh, and then my stock catback disintegrated due to rust, so got the tsp rumbler

=)

I just filled my tank from the 1/4 and had 220miles on it (19.5mpg) with mixed driving. This past winter I had it out and got 14 mpg though.

Premium?

I run 87 all the time, in the Texas heat with no pinging and that's with mid 13's @ 105.

110-115 miles on 5 gallons with 50/50 driving and I don't baby it all that much either.
