Default About to buy an LS1

Hey everyone:

Iam new to this site(this being my first post) and Iam going to test drive a 2000 Camaro SS tonight. I live in Canada and am wondering if this is a good deal at all for this car. It has 77000 Kilometres on it and they are asking $22995 for it. From the looks of the picture it seems to be in pretty good shape. Iam just wondering if this is a good deal and what sort of problems these cars have had etc...

Much appreciated,

Ouchburns

seems quite high for the mileage. Converted to US dollars and miles, the car is roughly $18,840 and has 47846 miles. Typically, around my way that car would run anywhere from $14500 to $17500 (US dollars) depending on condition, car history, etc. With that mileage and if the car is perfect, look to pay around somewhere in the neighborhood of $18,000 (canadian dollars). As far as the car goes, it being a 2000 it does not come with the LS6 intake (01-02 models), but you can always pick one up and put it in...as far as any issues, watch for oil consumption, warped rotors, piston slap (which is relatively normal on these cars), maintnance records, etc. Make sure it shifts smoothley. Try and tell if the car was abused in anyway. Check if it has been modified.
