Okay, I now have a proofread and formatted copy in a new thread, which I went ahead and stuck since everyone seems to like it: https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-ls1-owners-newbie-tech/361959-so-you-wanna-fast.html
It's closed to keep it clear to read; this thread is still available for comments/discussion, of course.

Jaberwaki, just PM me when you've got something to add/update in it.

Moved my parts numbers sticky to the General Maintenance & Repairs forum (there's many places it could be put, but have to pick one ), since the stickies list here is getting pretty long. Could probably also un-stick the thread about videos.ls1tech.com , too, since it's been unstuck in most of the other forums, and there's a link to it from the main ls1tech forums list now.

ACW wow man you must be a professional editor.
It looks great now!

thank you much to all....

I did have a question i think worth asking at this point....

2 people appearently did not think much of it.... which doesn't upset me one way or the other, everyone is intitled to there opinions....

But why didn't you have the nuts to say why? That was all i asked. if you did not think it was any good, give a valid reason why.....

or is it I pulled your punk card sometime ago and this is you lame atempt to get back?

Very nice, the only question I have is.... in what sequence would you do these mods, especially if you did a little at a time for a person on a budget.

Thank you....Jaberwaki

Bullet proof the car first. once this is done then power and suspention . When you sart breaking stuff it can often turn you off to the whole racing world. but if you start out by bullet proofing your car, that shold not be a problem until you are making SERIOUSE power

Hey jaber, that's a lot of info & sticky it deserves.

If your commander ever gives you some time off, perhaps you could show me some of this step-by-step. Better at learning by seeing rather than reading.

Much knowledge under that hat...thanx

Awesome job Jaber. Gave us the information of a book but in a readable form that won't make you want to hit something when you get done. Nice Job. One of the best if not the best info reads on a car ever.

Great job! However, one thing is chemically incorrect.

A. Nitrouse Oxide.
------------------
Nitrous Oxide or N2O is a chemical oxidizer, it is 2 parts oxygen, and one part
nitrogen. The oxygen is the part that makes power. Gasoline combines with
oxygen in a combustible mixture. the more of both you have, in the proper amount,
the more power you make. So why not inject pure oxygen? Simple, pure oxygen is
much, much less stable. The nitrogen is added to stabilize the oxygen. Bang for
buck, N2O is the fastest way to make power.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
N20 is two parts Nitrogen, one part Oxygen. Combustion is the reaction of hydrocarbons with Oxygen. Air contains 21% Oxygen (by weight), 79% Nitrogen, and some low concentrations of other inert gasses. N2O contains 36.4% Oxygen, 63.6% Nitrogen. The concentration of Oxygen in N2O is 70% higher than air. Pure Oxygen is very stable. It's not that pure Oxygen is less stable, it's that the power increase would 5 times as strong, the flame temperature would drematically rise and your block would melt down. Plus you won't be storing pure Oxygen as a liquid. So it would take a very large tank. A bonus from N2O is that it cools the air charge down because it boils at a very low temperature. Cooling results in a denser charge to the cylinder.

Hope this helps some.

I would have put bolt-ons before Nitrous and Heads/Cam. Nice write up. Even though all of that information is in JRP's FAQ.

I was actually looking that up last night tooo... you are correct sir, the way i wrote it up it would have been NO2 not N2O and i will have that changed.....

as far as O2 and the use of the word "unstable" it was not ment to be takin as its an unstable gas, but that it would give a more severe reaction in your cylinder....
i was stuck on how to word it , hence the use of the word unstable. gimme a night to work on the wording and i will have that changed as well...

thank you very much for pointing that out
