Ex biker for the Z06.

Before I bought my SS I rode a 2001 ZX-12R. More power than I could imagine, and a load of fun. I really miss riding, but after watching 4 people I rode with get killed in the last year, I decided it wasn't worth it. None of them were riding fast or dangerous, and the accidents were all caused by circumstances beyond their control. Just shows that, no matter how careful you are, it can happen quite easily. I have a 4 year old, and must admit that influenced my descision a lot. I want to see him grow up, and I want to discourage him from street bikes, without being too much of a hypocrite.

I say buy your dream car, and enjoy it.

As far as getting the bike, I think it is something that everyone should own once in their life. That is if you have any interest in them. Bikes hold a great resale value. Maybe you could buy your bike and try it out for a little. If you don't want it after a couple months you can sell it for a small lose. Then you can buy your Z06! This is what I would do.

How about paying off the car and dropping a 427 stroker in it?

[QUOTE=StevieZ]How about paying off the car and dropping a 427 stroker in it?[/QUOTE/]

Im not worried about having a drag car, just a swweet looking ride, and nothing in my opinion goes as fast as and looks as good as a Z06 for the price...with that said, I have also always wanted a bike...just torn. But for now, im done modding the Z28.

I currently own a mildly modded 98 z28. I have recently gotten a much better job and am able to completely pay my car off and do one of the following....get a sport bike keep the Z28 as well and save some gas, and have 2 awesome vehicles. Or trade my car in/sell and get my dream car, ( c5 z06). My Z28 and the bike would be cheaper, but a Z06 is a Z06. So if you were in my situation, what would YOU do?
I'd suggest the Z28 & bike... I'm planning on similar, going to get a T/A and a sportbike... and then be happy with two cool vehicles! the sportbike's a great idea for anyone with a need for speed!

I would get the bike, pay off the Z28 then pay off the bike. Sell the Z28 and buy the Z06. Patients is a virtue.

I got a T/A, paid it off and bought a new bike. It works for me.

Get the Z06. A sport bike is like a ricer with 2 wheels.

Im not sure if I understood right. But if you have not got the bike yet and have never ridden. Get the car. I can do some crazy stuff on a bike. But on the road, All it takes is one old lady pulling out. And not seeing. So I stay on the bikes on dirt now.
I know over 8 people that have died or have been paralyzed or now have a loss of limb because of street bikes. I lost two friends myself. My nephew was partly paralyzed. And some of my brothers friends have been killed. And a few lost limbs. I still run on dirt. And we do know a lot of riders. Good riders. My brother is one of the best amateur riders I have seen. On the dirt he's wild. On the street he was. But a close call mad him sell his street bike. On the street you can be a great rider, but unlike a track. Everyone is not going the same way. And others are not so great.

I would pay off the z28 and get the bike, and the money you save dump it into mod's on the z28. Zo6 are some bad *** rides. But going the other route you will have 2 toys to play with

Z06 NO QUESTION. There are too many shitty drivers out there, and since I don't trust any of them with my life, I'll never get a bike (even tho they are fun as hell). Florida drivers are nuts, I'm scared to even cross the street. If you do go with the bike, just make sure you fill our your organ donor card first.

One saying comes to mind...... "The vette gets em' wet!"... With idiot drivers nowa days, u couldn't pay me to ride a bike.
