Drove 800 miles down to get it. Drove 500 miles back to the US/Canada border where we had to put it in storage for three days to clear the title. Drove home then drove the 300 miles back to the border 3 days later, and then finally drove it home. 2200 miles round trip when you add it all up. Luckily most of that was in a diesel golf so it didn't quite cost a fortune.

About 34 hours of driving, very well worth it for an LS1.

Don't know how many miles but I live in the FL panhandle drove one way back from 30 min NW of NYC. in the middle of winter! What suppose to be a 18-20hr drive ended up being a 28hr. The excitement was what keep me up driving. Nothing was going to stop me.

I was specifically looking for a black '99+ non-WS6 Trans Am with manual transmission and no cruise control.

Found exactly what I was looking for at a local Toyota dealer.

I got back from a business trip with a change of heart and went down to buy it and it was gone. I found my Z28 on the internet and bought it without seeing it. Aside from a drivetrain clunk (they fixed the front yoke/u-joint but it persists - I'm thinking tranny bushing or torque arm mount), everything is great. Gotta love that GM Certified warranty...

You WENT to Post Falls? Very cool, as I live in Post Falls now. My dillemma is the same, and I think you took my car! My demands: 6 seed, black, leather, t-tops.

Heh.

I'm pretty much willing to go a long way, and it's kinda looking like Texas now. I hane't found THE car yet, but a lot of reall close ones seem to be in Texas nad florida..

Mine was about 45 miles each way. The ride home was much better than the ride there.

I searched within 100 miles on autotrader and found the SS 30 miles away. Just keep searching on the internet for something close, something will turn up.
