I forget the mileage, but I live in Forked River, NJ(in between Seaside Heights and LBI) and I drove up to New London, CT to get mine. It was just over three hours each way, but it was worth it.

1130 miles, left Tampa @ 0800 to Philadelphia, drove back to Sarasota by 0700. I bought JT'sBlackWS6 off the vehicle classified section. Was it worth it? F*** Yeah! After being without a T/A for over a year, I was ready to go wherever to get a great car. He turned out to be a cool guy with a sweeeet ride. But I've GOT to vent about one thing.........F*** Virginia and their "no radar detector, 55 mph I-95 bullsh**!"

My previous 2 LS1's I bought at the same dearler about 35 mins from me, but when I was buying my Z06 I was extremely picky. I wanted a yellow '02 or '03 and it had to have around 10,000miles. I bought the first one I found for a good price. I live in southern VT and I drove to NJ for it. About 4-1/2 hour drive one way. But it was worth it.

My first LS1 (T/A) I picked up in Queens, NY and I was in the Bronx so about 20-30 miles away. My second LS1 (Z28), I got from EBAY. Took a flight from NY to FL (St. Petersburg) then drove from Tampa to Melbourne to check on my place and take a nap and switch out the stock lid with an aftermarket one that I had on my old T/A. Then drove straight from Melbourne back to the Bronx in NYC. Only stopped for gas which was 4 stops.

I almost ended up going to Michigan to get a '98 Z28 with under 10,000 miles but ended up not going since they wouldn't even go $500 lower than their asking price and I didn't want to waste driving almost 7 hours (1 way) to get screwed by a dealership.
Then a few months later there was an ad in the newspaper for a '99 Black Z28 with only 47k on it. And it was only about 45 minutes away . I ended buying it and the nice thing was I paid a lot less than I thought I would end up paying .
Just be willing to go almost any reasonable distance if the car is exactly what you want for the price you want. There are plenty T/A's and Z28's around that are still in good condition. Just be patient (Took almost a year to find mine) and you'll find the right one. It'll be worth it .
