Default Problem, at track

today i went to the track (1/4) mile for the first time in my car, and the 1st 3 runs were **** i bogged it bad and it died? off the line and one time i punched it down and at WOT it would turn off? then turn back on? gages woould read nothing and my radios clock was reset? then one time people said they seen sparks out from under my car WTF? i knw i probably let the clutch out to fast and killed it, cus im not used to the excellent traction and a good launch after warming up the nittos, but my question is if i stall the clutch would it reset it everything? cus one time i knw i stalled it cus i had to re-start the car but sometimes when acceltaioning it would cut out and do that ****,.

so i let it cool down and looked at the battery the negative cable was a lil loose so i tightened it and ran a good run with no problems, then i ran agian and it did it once more. Could this be a alterntor problem or what? any ideas? no ses light tho, and it has never done this before? however, a week ago the ses light came on cus of the MAF sensor and the guy at autozone turned off the light and it never came back on and ran fine after that, maybe that has something to do with it but i do not knw. on the way home from the track the car ran like a champ ??? i dont understand

anyhow best run of the night was a 13.4 and i missed 4th gear at the end of that race, so probably could have done better

any help or suggestions would be great, thanks

MAF has nothing to do with it, if the MAF isnt working a table in the pcm should take over. did this only happen at the track? maybe some corrosion on the battery or you need a new connect/battery

ya only at the track well after it happend on the track i took it out on the highway and it did it once as well

check the positive wire running to your starter on the passenger side of the block and also to your alternator on the driver side..... more than likely it is rubbing against a metal edge and exposed wire. and when you go WOT the wire is coming in contact with said metal object. if not that case check all bolts at each ends of the wires.

sounds like a simple battery/pos. cable problem

battery/wire related. You may also want to launch @ahigher RPM

hahah my batter tray is broke and since i got so much torque when i launced the batter flew back and hit the postive end on the a/c canister grounding it out HAHAA at least i found my problem or well i think im gonna go test drive it

hahaha pat, those runs were funny, the track was badass definally worth the 60 mile drive going 130 there
