My 01 just went 13.5 @105.53, with 2.2 60', Goodyear GSC's, TB Coolant bypass and MAF Screen removal, mostly stock I'd say. 88deg day temp was 210degs! I haven't had a chance to put it on the dyno but I'd say 330RWHP with a 3636lbs!

Your opinion - and my opinion

As I said no offense meant, I just get fed fed up of all these stupid comments. Its as bad on Mustang sites so I'm singling you out.

Lets face it, Ford, GM and all the others all make crap cars. Most of them have/do made/make some great cars.

So why bitch about it. You don't have to like Ford but that doesn't mean SOME of their cars arn't good. Example:

-The Mustang, like it or not it is a great car and without it there would not have been an Fbody! Yes there have been some poorer examples in the past but in all reality they are pretty decent cars for the money and still in production today.
-Ford GT40, the car that beat Ferrari at Le Mans, are rare feet indeed. When has GM done this? A purpose built race car, which some 40 years on is still regarded as on of the best looking cars ever.
-Ford GT, a true American supercar. Which in all reality is a rare thing. Looks good and goes well enough to compare with the best out there.
-Mk1 & MK2 Escort, dominated the rally seen for over 10 years. Still very popular today and also a winner. A Mk2 Escort has taken the podium for the last few years at the Tour of Mull where it goes up against the latest WRC Impreza's and Evo's.
-The model T, could this really be left out of any list.
-Sierra & Escort Cosworths, the cars that spawned the 4wd Rally wanta be's you see today.

To name a few. No don't get me wrong I'm no more as Ford fan than I am any other car maker. I just like cars (performance ones of course). And at the present GM offer little alternative to Ford. And remeber where I live this is the face of Chevy:

I know, it was a stupid comment, but an article on fbody's beating mustangs just made me do it, couldn't resist. And after your comment I just felt compelled to defend myself a little, show I'm not a narrow minded idiot, at least IMO.

Agreed, we do owe the mustang for the fbody's existence. If we do get another one we will owe it again for the Camaro's re-emergence indeed.

GT-40's are just plain badass, I'd race one just to see how bad I would get beat!!!!!

Unfortunately, Chevy doesn't have much to offer here much different than that in a car in the pic. There's the Vette and GTO (Pontiac). While both are performers, the GTO IMO looks very feminine. The vette, while very exciting for 2006 with the LS7, is getting up there in price so far that its not something the "average joe" can afford. Even the GTO is pricey (over $30k) in most cases. So mother GM has left themselves and us with nothing to run against the ford and dodge guys. I have said, that if GM doesn't do anything I may have to resort to a Mustang someday , but, with Dodge now having the Magnum and the new Charger out, that not only provides more options, but hopefully will push GM to bring back a viable pony car.

Anyway, Glad we got that worked out. And thanks for being an LS1 fan from across the pond. I'm done, back on topic.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Like he said "IHMO..." And like you said you will see the same comments like his on other sites, mainly because people can be a little bias. Is it wrong, no. I've seen alot worse comments from the Stang sites and so what. You can't change people's minds, they have to change it themselves. You might be able to shed some light, but thats about it.

I like most sports cars out there, I don't really care for FWD cars and euro-trash! j/k I have plenty of friends with all types of cars and if I had the money I'd buy all kinds of cars. You just can't make people like what YOU like. And if they did there would not be as much rivalry, which pushes the car manufactures against each other to produce better/faster cars.

x Pitch Black x - Back to the subject:
An LS1 can dyno "around" 260rwhp on a Mustang Dyno. Mustang Dyno shows less then a Dyno-Jet dyno. An LS1 making 300rwhp on a Dyno-Jet might show around 270rwhp on a Mustang Dyno.

Mid to low 14's? If the track were at a higher elevation then sure thats possible.

Try a search button (lol) and see what other threads are out there for this subject, but I bet your buddy is thinking LT1 power/times not LS1 like others have mentioned.

Peace,
Craig.
Yeah, I kinda did take offense, how could I not. Oh well, onward.

Back on topic. I think this guy is thinking LT1 and doesn't know what an LS1 is and thinks our guy is using the wrong name. For example, I had some idiot ask me a month ago "that got the 350 in it?". I of course said "no, its a LS1" paused for silence "a Gen III motor". With a confused look he replied "well them 350's got lots of power, you outta put one of those in it" I said "I'll have to look into that".

Point is, a lot of people don't keep up with this stuff, but think they know, and there are a LOT of people that THINK they know. I say get him to race and kick his ***!

well in that case I withdraw my original comment.

And GM do offer some good stuff, and hopefully even better in the future.

Monaro/GTO is way cool, its just a shame GM have axed it in the UK last month. We at least get this:

Vauxhall VX220 VXR, its built by Lotus. It may only have a 2.0 Turbo but it can crack 0-100mph in 11 seconds.

Just like people think the 5.3 is a 327 and the 8.1 is a 502

Ok this is turning into a spam thread!

You only need to post this once! Not three in three different sections!

I'm locking the other one in the 67-02 Camaro Section, but I'll leave this one open:

Do you mean yourself? I've just read through your other posts and I've seen how you spammed three different sections on this site with this same thread.
