My mother has a 2004 C5, it is an automatic and the car will consistently burn tire through second gear shift, and chirp third in the right road/weather conditions...as for the Z28 I own, it chirps second gear everytime I go WOT and will sometimes get a little sideways in the right road/weather conditions...so I would say it is perfectly normal

is it weird i can't really make the tires spin at all? bone stock 01 A4 WS6 with the 3.23 gears. even from a stand still i can only get them to spin like 5 feet. it won't chirp the tires either, they're bridgestone potenza somthings btw.

My friend had an old 96 9C1 Caprice with some crappy, half worn kelly all season tires(stock size). When he got the tranny rebuilt with a 3500rpm stall converter, along with a 3.73 rear gear
We completely ruined that set of tires in one night. We managed to smoke them all the way down the block in front of his house from a dead stop. I'm talking a cloud of smoke that engulfed a whole house. Luckily nobody raced us, we would have got our *** handed to us since we couldn't hook until 40mph.

I for one, haven't been in a stock A4 that will bark summer 275's on every WOT 1-2.
If you have only 245's your chances are better. If you have loud tires (all seasons or squealers in general) then your chances are better.
If you're 1-2 shift is firm enough to get a shift kit style part throttle bark, then something is wrong. Or your car has a shift kit or programming that you are unaware of.
But if my supposed 100% stocker was barking the 1-2, I'd be looking into why.
Not saying it's not possible, just not likely with a stock A4 in OEM condition.

I have never barkerd the tires on a normal WOT 1-2. I have 2.73 and 245 tires. I can bark them from 30-37 mph if I stomp on it, go sideways if the tires are even a little damp and TCS is off. This is the speed at which I show my car off to my friends on their first ride in the car. My one friend has a Honda Prelude VTEC and thinks its hot ****. Got him in the car and accelerated at what I thought was slow and normal to about 35 and he's all, "mmmmmm I like how it just pulls you!!" I said, "that???? that's nothing" and then stomped on it and he goes " WHOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAHH" I just looked over and said "Your VTEC can't do that im guessing?"

When I had my 94 Z28 A4 3.23 gears I kept it in all stock form the entire time I owned it, and every WOT 1-2 shift would kick the back end out. Never a squak or bark from the tires like the quick chirp you get from a shift kit, just the back end kicking out, and on a rare occasion in the right circumstances could get a little chirp going into 3rd.

Its great fun, isnt it. When I was all stock, it would chirp the 1-2 shift at WOT from a roll or stop. Now with my bolt-ons it does a pretty good squak (sp?) for 1-2 seconds. Ive had quite a few people compliment me how I can nail gears in my m6 lol.
