Your insurance generally goes down when you turn 21 ( 5 years driving experience ), when you get married, and when you turn 25.

I believe progressive is the only insurance company you can get if you are "high risk" and you pay out the nose for it... look around for a new company, it's better than getting bent over

I was paying about a 1000 every six months. Nationwide 2 vechile discount safe driver no tickets. After a friend wrecked his 98 Z28 they took him to the cleaners. I dropped back to liability both cars and have driven wreck free 4 years I figure I have saved enough to have paid for the 98 by now..

They also base your insurance rates from your credit rating which doesn't have a damn thing in common in how you drive.

They are doing the credit thing with driving to see how responsible you are.

yeah that credit thing is crap. why should they care if you have bad credit? as long as you pay them on time that is all they should care about.

You'll pay out the ***. Stick to something smaller and cheap and save your money and when you hit 21 buy an LS1.

Mine didn't, otherwise my insurance would be crap due to some things I did when I turned 18 that I regret.

lol if you get a LS1 at 16 you will be raped. like 4000 for 6 months or some crap.

just get a normal car and learn to drive real good. then when your older like 20 get a LS1, youll be glad you waited. and if you JUST GOTAA have a fast car at your age, buy a civic thats done up, like one with a H22 swap or something. a civic is like 5 bucks a month for insruance.

though i really think any kid should start out with a slow car for a few years, alot of really horrible stuff could go down if your immature with a fast one. all my friends in highschool had 5.0 mustangs or IROC camaros, and all of them crashed and ruined there records. even the kids with rice burners crashed lol.

Ill be paying over 300 a month for ins. Im 22 years old with a flawless record. no claims or accidents or tickets. That price is with my father as primary driver. He too has a flawless record. They wanted close to 500/month for me to be primary. Located in long island. NY. Sad, i know..

-married
-23 yrs old
-clean record
-all 4 of my vehicles total up to $180/month, full coverage on everything.
The camaro is registered as a "recreational vehicle" (less than 7500 miles/year) and costs $65/month. I don't know how you guys paying $300/month for insurance do it!

I"m 24 and have State Farm. I pay $1300 per year for full coverage, not too bad. Multi car, accident free, and good student discouts really help though.
