First or Second car?; ws6 difference?; how much cost to run 11s-12s?

My first car was/is a '70 Barracuda (hence my handle--I lived in Alaska). I still own it too. It was a 318 car and when that threw a rod I turned it into a 440 'Cuda clone. It all depends on an individual's maturity level and self control. I was fine having a 440 under the hood at 17 years old. I respected the car and paid for everything myself.

I'd definitely recommend something tame to drive for at least a year. When you're 17 buy something with some more get up and go. I'm 17 now I've been driving a 97 corolla since I got my permit and I think my parents were incredibly smart in buying me it. I'm going to make each of my children own a beater until they are at least 17 before I buy them, or let them buy a 300 HP V8.

Get a third gen, their sexy, I think a LB9 M5 would make you very happy.
by the way this is off topic but I have two friends that work at a horse track and get paid 12 bucks an hour to sit in a chair and hand out hats, sunglasses, whatever the promo is on that day, and they get to listen to music and chill. Not bad.
