my 2000 is a former Indiana State Police car, 140,000 miles on it. you have seen police driving their cars... mine has been through medians, up to 140 SEVERAL times, ran 13.3 @105 bone stock. some of the cars had problems with the rear axels being out of round, mine had its rear end replaced. unmolested cars basicly last forever. worst milage ive gotten out of my car was 19mpg, heavy accerlation, city driving, ac on, some highway mileage. best was 27 mpg when i was able to drive the interstate at about 75mph for about 300 miles. ill get 288-330 miles out of a tank depending on the situation. i love driving my car everyday LOVE IT. imo these cars are bargans, few to zero actual problems, run great and get decent gas milage (better than a V6 auto Accord or something along those lines)

only things i dont like are how low and long the car is, in parking lots your nose is way out there and you cant see it, also the rough ride sometimes gets annoying, but i love the car, love it love it love it

The only thing that has been replaced on my car in 90,000 miles is the usual tune up stuff, a battery, and brakes.
And obviously when I started modding, the stuff below.

The car has been VERY VERY reliable.

And how the heck to you manage 12mpg?.....do you floor it every single time you take off?

I have the mods in my sig....untuned...with the o2's not working....running rich....and I get 18-20 without babying it.

I think my worst tank ever was like 16mpg, and I drag raced about 5 times on it...lol

You may be calculating it wrong
