Default Which mods next? $1500 to spend

Springtime I'll be dropping up to $1500 in my TA. What should I go for? It's a daily driver, like suspension mods as mch as power mods. Any suggestions for that kinda $$$ I was thinking bigger cam, then I thought about a nice brake/rotor upgrade. Throw as many diff. ideas at me as you can for a $1500 budget which includes install prices, I'm a dumbass who can't install anything without getting hurt. TIA, current mods in sig, also LS6 intake sitting in garage awaiting install.

have you thought about underdrive pulleys or new heads or possibly a H/C swap that is a good hp mod to do.

Maybe sell that LS6 and get a 90mm tb and 90mm LSX, that would pretty much be your whole budget though

Well, you said it's a daily driver. Does that mean you don't ever plan to take it to the track, or will someday but rarely?

To me it seems wasteful to throw money at mods in cars like these that don't necessarily improve your cost to maintain it (including a loss of MPG) if your only goal is to get kills on the street. Sure, now you don't have to worry about Joe Blow in his import with $10k in upgrades but how often is that? I'd rather pay money to a local track to run in a better environment than pay the city with tickets.

If you do plan to put those mods to the test and try getting your 60' tight and 1/4 miles lower, I'd say start with the weak points (ie things that can break easy), like going 10 bolt to 12 on an A4, or 9" on an M6. I'd say do a cam first, though, since it compliments the headers you already have.

Daily driver that one day will see the track. I am garaging this car and keeping it forever, so the perf. mods are so that in 5 years when me and the wifey are cruising it on a weekend I won't get embarrassed by the new 2010 350 hp Dodge Caravan minivan that just rolled off the assembly line. I want to keep a balance of performance mods and also upkeep the other things along the way. The power adders are so that if I need to open a can off whoop-*** the power is there.

9 inch crossed my mind in a few years when I have a little more $$$ saved, .ike $3000 for cost and install. With the 9 inch then I would use Oranges suggestion with higher gears like 4.11's. Don't wanna play with gears on stock 10 bolt

I'd go for a good cam and a tune or a set of gears..... I assume at this point you have already had it tuned?

You should be able to get a cam installed and a tune for $1,500. I've gotten prices as cheap as $1,800 and I didn't really shop around or buy anything used, but you can find some good used low mile cams if you look

first off have that LS6 intake put on there

then either:

get wheels or

if you have a 6 speed, get a new clutch, if you have an auto get a TIGHT stall or

get a cam and springs installed

cam or wheels and tires would probably be all your budget, cam is what id do...

As far as wheels I already have Chrome Firehawk rims with BFG KDW tires, free from the dealer. Sold me a car which was hit without disclosing it, we settled out of court with him giving me free Firehawk rims and tires, along with a new stock clutch installed about 30k miles ago.

$1800 is way too much to pay for just a cam + install and tune.
