Default Is it worth it?

I friend of mine has a LS1 w/an A4 for sale. Its a crate motor and trans that he bought from a GM dealer,it has about 500 miles on both motor and trans. The entire fuel injection and harness is from F.A.S.T. Co. and the tranny controller is from TCI.Im not sure what year the motor is but I can find out if that is a deciding factor.

With FAST system and TCI controller he wants $6k,and $5k with out.

Any ideas on this?

Well a brand new crate engine with wiring harness (stock) and everything you need to just drop it in. Is about 6500, So I'd say that's a decent deal if it has a fast system and the tci tranny cooler. Those two things are fairly expensive. What do you need this for though?

777,

Im putting it in a 66 Nova SS.This will be my 2nd attempt to do this, meaning I had 1 motor and trans set up already but sold it and now want to do another.I'm going over to take a look at in Monday, its been sitting for atleast a year in his shop.I know the guy some what well,I have bought parts from him before. My plan is to install the motor and get the fuel, electrical and other things sorted out then either do a head and cam swap or twin turbo the car.I have a guy that can get me dialed in on tuning the FAST stuff and then i can go from there doing the tuning myself. If I have any problems he is always there to help me out until I get the system fully figured out.
