Underdrive Pulley

Less rotational mass, plus less outer diameter. This results in a free revving engine.
For the record... it doesnt give you horsepower, it free's it up The larger, heavier stocker soaks up some power while being rotated.... the ASP soaks up less.
If you are worried about a dying battery or not getting enough charge from the alternator, just go with an Alternator OD pulley, they are only $20.....well thats what I sold mine for anway...

Does anybody have an amp/subwoofer setup with the ASP Pulley? I did the pulley on my old LT1 and had problems with the alt. being burnt up (3 times) with my pretty large system, so I removed it! I thought I would never do that to my LS1, but I wouldn't mind 10 more hp if it wouldn't harm anything else!

IF YOU HAVE A M6 AND A AUDIO SYSTEM THEN YOU WILL NEED THE ALT PULLEY

yes you can usally rent the pulley puller from a auto store, for the first question basically it decrease's the effect of the underive as it is a overdriven pulley, which in turn results in freeing up less hp but thats at the cost of having your battery not die on you.

Oh, and you can rent a puller from like auto zone.

When you get an alt overdrive pulley it spins it faster than with the normal pulley. This makes it to where when you have an underdrive crank pulley (makes everything on the entire belt system turn slower) the alt. runs at the speed it normally would run with the normal crank pulley. It basically just makes the alternator put out the same voltage while everything else is being spun slower.
