I would really like to see your sticker because id like to see what makes it 28k. mine was 29,7. i looked at it last night so thats a correction from 29,1. id just like to see what makes that z28 28k brand new especially since my SS package is 4k. id like to see what makes up for that difference.
But I can tell you right now, mine is fully loaded minus the leather....the Chrome wheels option was an extra $600 or so, the ASR, T-tops option is an extra $1200 or so believe it or not. I'll let you just see it for yourself.

My Z28 has leather, t-top, auto, ASR, chrome wheels, monsoon, blah, blah, blah. Every Z28 option except the CD changer.
Still, the SS is more apperance than anything else. I like the more stealthy and plainer look of my Z28 anyways. Nobody sees the black Z28 badges on the dark blue body.

Didnt get mine new but I bought it at a dealer for $19,200 with 5,500 miles so it was new enough. Black on black Z28 with hurst shifter, leather, t tops w covers, sport apperance package, chrome 18 inch zo6 wheels, borla cat back, 10% tints, no ASR or 12 disc and then everything else in my sig I put on. It still has the air bag tag on it also

Taller gears are in the SS. MY 98 Z28 came with 2:73's I think the SS's have 3:23s and they also have the series 3 carrier that goes along with it. If your going to change the rearend for performance you would be better off.

Look down about halfway on the right, it was a $300 option.
Peace,
Craig.
