Avg Gas Mileage of Automatic LS1?

Stock these cars must be amazingly consistent...mine gets about 20 combined city/hwy, and over 25 on straight highway with cruise set at 72mph. Now about that underdrive/overdrive unit I just read about in "Camaro Performers" magazine... ;-)

With tuning my stroker gets 26mpg if I drive like an old woman. Normal city driving nets about 18mpg (Los Angeles traffic sucks ***). If I drive the way my car was built for i end up getting about 13mpg. And damn this state for toppping out at 91 octane gas!

havent gotten an accurate city milage yet, but on a recent trip I went 210 miles on 8.44 gallons. COmes out to be 24.88 MPG I have 2.73 and LTs with a tune. Your speed and amount of passing also has a lot to do with it. This milage was at 80 mph at 2000 rpm. Milage could prolly be streched to 27-28 easily at 55-60 mph. But who goes that slow on the interstate in one of these babies?
