If you had told us you would be doing this, NOBODY would have suggested H/C.
You shouldn't do that with a STOCK motor! If you dig your way out of this, more power to ya, but I'm sorry you're probably having to deal with some **** from your other half. All in the name of I guess......

good heads and cam will slowly come down somewhat in price as a 12 bolt will not. Not to mention how the ls1 power scene is always evolving and getting bigger

Hey RedSS......can I ask you a ? about Fayetteville. What military base is up there? My Fiance and I are thinking about NC and he's got 8 yrs in NCO for the Army.
Just wondering if there is any employment for him at that base.

I went H/C before the 9''. I think if I had done it over again i'd do the rear first. I had so much power the 10bolt was useless and I couldn't get the full potential out of all the power

Well as far as if they got a job here for him is all depends on his MOS. What's his MOS(job)?

i must say from experience dont go with strange..they have had so many problems with noises from the rears and the axles themseleves and stange is not prone to want to fix them themselves voluntarily or very easily for what you pay for them..be ver wary..im not bashing their company just be careful and look at all your other options..i know alot of peole who have had a lot of problems with strange...i would go with a reputable head and cam and meanwhile beefing up your ten bolt...as long as your overpowering the ten bolt your not gonna break it...its the traction that will break it

I went w/ Moser, but anyway not only I broke the 10 bolt like a month ago, last week I broke the driveshaft which I just got done replacing and it looks like it took the clutch too. The car won't go in gear like the disk is stuck to the flywheel.

I am in the same situation as you. Get amazing heads to go with my new forged 347, or get a 12 bolt. I decided to go with the heads, even though I know I am gonna probably regret it later down the road.
I'm just a sucker for more power
