I have a firebird that i bought used about 3 months ago and i am starting to notice some signs that it has been wrecked like the doors rub into the front side panels and other weird chips and nicks...... Paint has some spider webs....

Hi colt.

Before we bought our 2002 Ram Air Trans Am, we had a 1997 Ram Air Trans Am we bought used. We had similar problems, especially the front of the doors snapping the front side panel. We found it seemed to be affected by temperature. We never ran a carfax, but my husband thought this could be the result of the engine torque on the body frame. He thought the installation of frame connectors would have prevented this, especially if the car is or was raced.
