Default What is this vacuum port for (Intake Manifold)?

There are 2 ports on the back of my new ls-6 intake manifold. I know that the one larger port is the vacuum line for the brake booster.

Is the other one for part of the air/egr system or is it necessary for the map sensor opertation?

The reason for the question is that I plugged if off yesterday thinking it was part of the egr system (that I removed) and now I'm wondering if I need to pull the bolt out of the vacuum line and reconnect it?

Thanks for your help

Mike

I already knew that it was a vacuum line (geez I'm not a dumb vtecher!)...the main question is whether it is for the air/egr system (so I can ditch it since I have already removed the rest of the system) or something necessary like the one used by the MAP sensor. I would guess that the map sensor can also read the vacuum from the large port which goes to the brake booster, but I'm not sure.

I'll just hook it back up so I don't have to worry about potential issues.

one of the ones on there goes to the AIR, and the other one goes into the wiring harness somewhere. But one of them is definetly not for the AIR/EGR

It supplies vacuum to the HVAC duct work in the dash. On 00-02 cars it also tees off and goes to the AIR solonoid mounted on the intake manifold (rear drivers side).
