LS1 or LT1???
I am in a dilemma, I have had my eye set on a 98 Z28 with the LS1 in it for 7800, but today i found a 94 Z28 with the LT1 that i could get for a lil less than 5 grand. The 98 has about 74k while the 94 has 79k on it. The rest is the same with both, autos not t-tops ect. Now I dont know what to do. Should i take out a big loan for the 98 or take out like a grand for the 94. What im tryin to get at is, is the LT1 worth saving the couple grand. Can i get the power im looking for out of one of those

Pick the body style you like the most, they both go fast.
Though I did hear that the LS1 is easier to work on, and that the LT1 is a bit complicated for a newbie.
Otherwise I heard that the '94 has a bunch of quasi half this half that stuff because of OBII requirements. The LS1 is probably the way to go for power in the end though.
Hell the LS1 is obsolete due to the LS2 that is out, the LT1 is practically an old man. Not to mention rust problems since it is probably a car that was stored outside.

If you like the style of the front clip or interior better on one or the other, than get the one you like best.
But if you like the appearance equal on the '94 vs the '98, I'd say get the LS1. Don't get me wrong, the LT1s are cool too, but for only a few grand more I think the LS1 is worth it.

Get the LT1 if you like to change out Optisparks often.
Get the LS1 if you'd like to have more power, easier to work on, and get better results from bolt ons.
LS1 > LT1
Peace,
Craig.

Sure if it's a concert! ... u know what I'm gonna vote for - if you can do it without straining yourself, get the LS1.
