i think its to much if u ask me, i got my 01' trans am for $13,500 with 50k miles, trans ams always sell for more than camaros if it was a ws6 trans am i would say maybe a decent deal but me id look for a better deal

Picked up my 01 ss for $14,000 with 50K. I think what they want for that one is a little much, but then again, they wanted $20,000 for mine at first. You just gotta be short and to the point with the salesman/individual and not take any ****. Ohh yeah, it helps to show some cash (preferably all of it).

I dont think its a real SS, doesnt mention it all in the description, plus that way too much money. I got my 98 z28 in 2001 for $13K with 28,000 miles with every possible option available. Granted that was over 4 years ago but still I wouldnt pay 20,000 for that car especially since it is modded as modded cars always sell for less. Def keep looking.

Also look on the vehicle classifieds on this forum, if you plan on modding at all you can find some awesome cars for real cheap.

Not sure, but you should be able to find the RPO as a sticky thread at the top of the camaro or special vehicle sections of the forum. If book value is 17K then with mods and assuming it is a real SS you should be able to get it for 15K or less, thats just my opinion though. I have seen multiple SS's and WS6's in my area with that kind of mileage and zero mods for 15K, id hold off or if you really want that car then tell him you will not pay more than book value if it comes in at 17K and if your happy with that price then go for it.

its just 500 over book value for it with the mods installed. I will have to go see the car. but everyone i see around here start in the 16k range and they have 30 or so thousand more miles. If you can find me a SOM ss around you for that id happily drive there for it.

thanks

hey ill def look around my area and check out the SS's ive seen. Are you dead set on SOM and an SS? I know there is a real nice 01 black ws6 with about 25K miles for about 15K, maybe even less if its still on the lot. 17K isnt a bad price, I just think you can find a little better deal thats all, and for what its worth id neevr pay anything over book value, even for a nice car like that with mods as modified cars always go for less than book from what ive seen. BTW are you going to be heafvily modifiying the car? (Headers, cam, heads, n2o, turbo, etc, etc?) Or pretty much looking for an SS to keep pretty much stock?

This is one that ive seen as ive been in connecticut a decent amount:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...nced=&end_year

and ive seen this one as I go to veracka motors once in a while to check out all their cars (they only carry like mustangs, cmamaros, trans ams, corvette, and other sports cars)

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...=en&cardist=38

If your dead set on that color I know its pretty rare so by all means go for it, Im not trying to get you to compromise what you really want. However I gaurantee you can get any of these dealers down at least a thousand dollars or more since its the winter time and these cars are just sitting on their lots.

yeah im kinda partial to the SOM cars due to the rarity, i dont mind a few mods, but a internally stock low mile car is kinda what im looking for. 6speed is a must also. the mods on the one im looking at could be easily reverted back to stock with ease basically. so its not radical. But ive been looking for SOM for a while, yeah i could get a black one or a red one, but everyone has one of those. IF the deal is great of course i couldnt pass one down but im pretty much wanting a low low mile car and id prefer SOM or black if i absolutely cant get SOM
