I have a buddy who has a bone stock 99 T/A (rare i know), he has it as his daily driver and it is getting ready to roll over 202,000 last i knew, with absolutely no problems other than a tranny replacement.

The motors last a while. The things that really suck are:

Stock Rotors (i'm sure you've replaced those by now)
Stock Window Motors (if you're gonna put a piece of crap in there, at least make it easier to replace!)
Stock Headlight Motors (ditto)
Rear End
A4 Tranny (which I don't think you can expect any stock tranny on a car like this to last too long)
Every Single Piece of Trim that Rattles when you Drive

All in All, a well built machine. Just some seriously annoying and typical GM mistakes.

Yea, the guy w/200 on his 99 hugger z went through a waterpump and a rebuild. Theres a guy with a C5 who drives 200 miles a day w/370k and that was like 6 months ago, on the stock LS1. LS1 FTW

I'm about 145K miles. I don't really beat on it anymore
from a dead stop as the posi has a "clunk" sound. The 2-3
shift is getting a little soft on the A4.
But believe me, I've had the 3500 stall with a 2.5 STR for
over 100K miles, the drivetrain has definitely seen it's
share of abuse.
I drive about 140 miles round trip to work 4 days a week.

122K on mine.

If anything, the car is starting to fall apart... widening panel gaps, squeeks and clunks on the inside... the LS1 however is like she was new.

I love this car.

yeah, the engines are pretty tough, but the 4L60E isn't the greatest tranny, and everyone knows our rear end sucks. Other than that- the window motors suck, the headlight motors aren't great, and the fuel/water pumps both suck (typical of GM.)

So it's no Toyota, but it's a muscle car. I can live with the rest.
