My car is going to hit 137K miles any time this week.

Its cammed with stock LS2 heads and put down 400+rwhp.

Doesnt burn oil, and gets decent mileage.

never has died on me, never had a reliability issue.

Get the higher mileage LS1, you can always come back and replace the valve train.

Heres my car:

this thread is old as hell but, get the higher mileage LS1 no doubt. i have 92k miles on mine and with a lid and catback put down 332 rwhp and 345 rwtq. granted those are just numbers, but these cars are bulletproof as long as they are taken care of properly. o yea, and mine has never had synthetic oil, so if you find one that has, your prolly will be in even better shape.

i voted LT1, and i have had two LS's, i think an 80k miles LT1 has probably been treated well and can be a really fun car, my friend has a '94 with LT4 heads, cam, and intake, headers, no cats, cold air, aftermarket MAF, twin 52 t/b, and a tune and it is a fun car to drive, i love driving it, so much bottom end power, but hey it is an opinion poll, right?

i had the same choice... saved more then got addicted to saving. luckly my dad loves ls1 and co-signed a loan. and i got a low miles ss. But i am getting owned by the ins. company. LS1 ftw. both good motors.

go with the style you like more i like the ls1 cars. imo.

great, deal...can't wait to see pics

I agree, get the LS1...even if it means saving a little more and getting a lower mileage one...or trying to find a deal like the guy above

I voted higher mileage LS1. the heads flow so much better on the ls1 . I have a 2000z28 with 112k and it runs like new real strong. It TRUELY depends on how well the car ws mantained such as oil changes and regualr maintence done on it on TIME. For instanice my father has a ford explorer 1994 with ONLY 59k and the tranny is going out along with many other things. I KNOW I KNOW its ford thats prolly why LOL goes for most cars though!
