I did it! Today I became the proud ownerof a bone stock Black 25,000ml a4 Z28 that I am going to turn into a street legal 10sec car.I payed about $8500 is that a good price?Anyway lots of mods to do including trans & 12 bolt diff but bolt ons,body kit & corvette wheels first ,I love the phat 17x315s on the back and the 17x275s on the front.(great looking street wheels)

Verdad Gallardo Ls144, yeah dude I am real interested and love to see some pics of the factory ground effects I didnt know they had factory effects on LS1 Z28s as I live in Japan and none of the z28s have it but if I like them I will pay for shipping no worries, also I am looking for used 17''original Vette wheels the ones that can fit 315s on the back and is it 275s on the front and fit a 2000 Z28.I dont think I will bother with pics yet its just bone stock but it does have navigation and Tv etc LOL

Nbmgreg,Yes I live in japan and I bought it locally I export cars for a living and american cars are cheap due to the tax system here, bigger engine = more tax when you register the car in your name.Plus gas is dear here.It came from chevorlet japan originally so it actually has a kilometer dash not a mile dash.
Tx3 ,yeah I am going to race it here this summer and kick some yellow *** LOL.
Jaberwaki,I am confident about 11s resonably cheap but like you said 10s will take some money,study,racing and time but I think I can get there but only worried about trans,rearend I will repalce when time comes.Rest is fairly straight forward i think.I have had 10sec cars before but skylines and supras.First time American I love V8s sound,torque & look cant wait for exhaust etc to get started.

FYI I think you will need to roll your fenders to fit 315's without tire rub, check the wheels and tire forum sticky thread for more info.
A stupid question, what side is the steering wheel and all that crap on in your car? is it left side drive like all american cars or right side drive like most japanese cars, reguardless welcome to the site
starz T/A 17 thats No problem at all,my Z28 is exactly like usa ones but its got a dash in KLMS not MLS and no piston slap.I have never seen a piston slap LS1(american made) in Japan or in New Zealand where there is a **** load of right hand drive LS1s(Australian made).Export models must be better made?
