I just pull the b!t*h down in first and hold it there until the third honk , then shift it up after that if I have to go from around a 30 roll. While I don't do it often, sometimes i'll be in 2nd and at the same time nail it and drop it to first to get the motor to spin up a sec before dropping into first (though sometimes this creates too much wheelspin).

I got cocky one day and wanted to at least see 100mph in the car on the highway....so I plugged her from 60 and it felt great to hit that, but I don't really have to much of a death wish. And my RPM's are so high at that speed my car makes alot of funny noises heh.

My dead spot is around 50-70ish but I have 2.73s. Anything 30-40 and 70 and up pulls really hard. I love the kick down on these speeds.

my car seems to never loose power from a full throtle stomp even after 100..its a 2001 a4 car 2.73 with loudmouth and whisper lid. But if i am casually driving around and want to hit it lets say around 40 it lags a lil then picks up...this happens on and off some good days some bad.
