they are mounted in a very hard place to get to easily and often die after a certain time. no biggie but it could be a problem, dont let that hold you back from an lt1 though

I bought a 94 Z28 for my first F Body and it was ok. they sound real mean with a nice exhaust on them. I would save up and get an LS1 for sure though. They are awesome cars

First, let me say thank you to everyone who has commented and left their opinion, and please, keep them coming, this is very helpful. The info I have gained from this, and the forum itself, has been great and will be of much use when I finally go to buy my first F-body. It's nice to know that if I find one in good condition (LS1 or LT1) that I can't really go wrong. It pretty much boils down to what I can afford, and getting behind the wheel to see which I prefer.
