why is everybody so con NOS. All you need is a 12 bolt, tires, and a good shot. Low to mid 12s right there, and i don't think that will be above the 3500 limit.

What cars are they "doing turbos" on? If it's LS1s they will eat you alive at half throttle once they get the cars running right unless you spray.

However nitrous leaves you with what you already have the 99.9% of the time you aren't using it.

If you really want a good ET you need to buy a 12 bolt and a strong clutch right now. Your stock rear end is nothing but a ticking time , especially with a manual transmission.

For the best track ET you need a 12 bolt, sticky tires, strong clutch, nitrous, tune and maybe some minor suspension work. Tough to do on $3,500. Such is the game.

For a primarily street car, or someone who does not yet want to spend $2,500 on a rear end, I would leave street tires on it and do full bolt-ons + cam and tune....while taking very good care of the rear end.

12bolt, tires, and nitrous done properly will be above 3500. Then at those power levels, like blkz28spt said, you will need a clutch. It gets expensive quick.

Well, you are gonna need a decent shot of N20 if you plan on running with LS1 turbo cars.

They have the right to talk smack.

I may still bet on them. If any one of them forged the bottom end and/or raises the boost a little above the baseline of 6# you may be toast, nitrous or not.

Do you know what a properly done turbo LS1 can do? It is expensive and difficult though, so if their cars arne't finished I wouldnt' worry about it for awhile unelss a professional shop is doing all the work

About 6.95 @ 210mph in a backhalved car with a Liberty, a 4 link,
33" 10.5W's, and a 106mm thumper.

well what the turbos they are going with is suppose to put their cars in the mid to low 11's I dont know which ones they are going with, but all i know is that I know I can beat them with ported heads or by a set of heads, a cheater cam and some suspension work, and probably a shot of nos. I wanna beat them so bad, they drove my car and they said that my car is very powerful. I dont want them to know what i am doing. so please give me a little more ideas of whoeva ran between 11.8 and 11.00. I am gonna get em

we've given you ideas but its expensive to play....your not gonna get there..the RIGHT way...on 3500. through on a 125 shot and some really sticky tires..and that should get you close if you can drive really well, but you can damamge the rear and clutch....fixing both of those would add up to more than you wanted to spend.
