Default How the LS1 should feel?

Just curious, I think mine feels just right powerwise maybe I'm wrong, only way to test is the track of course, how do you know if you have a good running LS1 w/o going to the track?

Race other people, or have someone else drive it that has been around our cars,. Better to got to the track.

Find a car identical to you and race him and if you guys are neck and neck or off by a tad then you have a good running LS1 car.

Are you serious? Thats why you ran the 14.0.

Leave it in D and mash the gas. "shifting" the automatic does nothing but slow you down. You aren't even shifting it anyway. You are only allowing the transmission to access another gear.

I agree with not trying to manually shift an auto (not good for them) unless you have got the modified Transgo shift kit installed. But then it still won't make it any quicker.

However before you diss their ET check out their elevation?

I still think it would have been quicker leaving it in D.

he said in his next post he was at a 5800ft elevation. that's a very good time bone stock @ 5800ft.
