ws6, m6, automatic differences What is the difference between a WS6, M6 and T-56 in relation to the 98 to 02 Trans Ams??? I am new to this and am looking to buy soon... What differences do the cars have other than a manual rather than an auto?

The T-56 is the manual transmission in all M6 F-bodies. The WS6 is a package for the Trans Ams that included the Ram Air Hood, 17" wheels and less restrictive exhaust. It was available with both manual and automatic transmissions.
The autos came with 3.23 rear gears, the manuals came with 3.42, those gear ratios were standard on the ws6 package, the autos could also come with 2.73 but that would be a possibility only if it was a non ws6
