Man, thats a LOT of money, do you know how much a headlight assy costs?? Try $700 for the whole thing unless you find a used one. Yeah, I wrecked my 95 and sold it minus that $700 part . THose cars are NOT cheap to repair.
If you want a good deal on a newer LS1 F-body, check out McAllen, Harlingen, Brownsville, TX. I used to live there and saw some VERY nice deals on those cars. Asking price of 9800 on a 64K mile TA. Heard of a WS6 LS1 going for 6K (DIdnt see it, but guy claims to have sold it for such...riiight, but who knows). I saw some really low prices, 01/02 SS's for 11.5K etc. were a dime a dozen.

i don't think i'd ever buy a wrecked car unless i needed parts, then even then i'd only be willing to pay a few hundred. i'd never spend a dime on the car you pictured above. the reason why i said 3k was simply because you had access to parts and labor and i was being nice. if you were a good friend in real life, i'd curse you, probably hit you for thinking about it and beg to you reconsider. there is no doubt there is frame damage. it may seem like a good deal to you because of your access to labor, but when you start replacing your back left tire every month because it's worn so badly from the twisted frame, it adds up fast. i'm just using tire wear as an example. i'm sure there's SOME frame damage.

im sorry yall but 7k doesnt cut it for fayetteville nc, the poor car will have over 130k miles on it for 8k probably way more and ragged out. if i can get this car for 3500 ill be very happy but I think that car deserves a good home such as mine. whadda yall think? doesnt it look sad sitting there, a legend in its time rotting away, possibly gonig to be parted out and crushed...

Not really, man, think outside your own wallet raping surroundings. Buy an LS1 from the south, you can get one for a LOT less with low miles. Lets put it this way, last guy I talked to who just got an LS1 payed 14.5K for an 02 Z28 A4 with 15K miles on it. This was last year. Spend a few hundred $$ on a plane ticket, call some car lots, spend a day or 2 in a motel 6, and then drive home in a nice car that you got for a good deal. Why wont people spend $500 to save $5K?

People told me I couldnt find a mustang GT fox body in good shape for cheap. THe car in my photo only has paint and a new hood (not needed except to clear the air cleaner) and tail lenses (1 was cracked and I like LX lenses). I got it for 1K. THere are deals to be had.

I would re-paint the whole car so it matched and there was no fade/paint tone difference, replace fenders/hood, etc. have the frame re-alligned, plus replace all the stuff up front that was messed up from the impace, plus you have hidden dammages, possibly headlight motors...yeah, 3K is inevitable, 5K possible.

but now remember, labor and such isnt an issue, neither are tools and we do have a frame machine just in case and it will be far from the first time weved pulled things back and ****. also keep in mind everything we get is wholesale and is less than half of what the general public can buy stuff for. there a special way to calculate out how much to apy for the car and the max I should pay for it came out to 5250

^why did you not include in the original post that you were looking for a car to work on as a family project type deal? Its not a good value monetarily, but if you want something like that,go for it.
why not go retro? just a thought.
