Hey man even if it has some foam padding it will still scratch the paint. Dust or dirt will blow in and instead of blowing across the paint it will get stuck under the foam pad and while driving when the foam pad moves around it will be grinding that dirt right into the paint. Kinda like sand paper.

Yeah, but apparently reading skills are no longer taught in public school.

For the rest, the man clearly stated that he is looking for a bike rack that would fit his Camaro. It didn't appear to be a poll about whether installing one on an F-body is considered "cool" (as if it matters anyway) and it wasn't posted in the Appearance & Detailing forum. Besides, if he is going to go drifting the streets of Tokyo or street race or hang out at the mall, he can remove it anyway. Not sure what it is around here with newbs and unsolicited advice.

Oh, never mind. Continue on...

It seems to me that when you look at the cost, it would be better to just buy a really cheap beater. If that's out of the question then I just don't know what to tell you.

Might have better luck with a hitch installed.

thoes are all "universal" racks....

but yea, i agree, his best bet is the hitch style ones.
