I am putting a ws6 hood on my 98 trans am . I have a granatelli air lid
and cold air box already installed. MY question is how do I make the hood functional in this situation. please be elementary when explaining this to me. I am mechanically challenged. Thanks.

All you have to do is drill out the rivets in the stock Ws6 hood in order to make it functional. There are 3 baffles behind the air inlets, just drill their rivets out from behind, and pull the pieces out.
A sealed box cold air system drawing air from the Ram Air hood will yield much better gains than one drawing air from the bottom of the car. Especially at lower speeds.

The next best thing to the BG system is the Volant Cold Air system, it draws cool air directly from the hood inlets using a sealed box and dual cone filters.
