B4C motor
I have a chance to pick up a LS1 B4C motor that was taken out of a ploice car with 10 miles on it for a decent price. Can anybody tell me the difference between it and a regular LS1?

Almost none of that. I have a '00 B4C. If I said it was a Z28 without badges and a body-color roof, I would be 98-99% correct. Just a couple, very miniscule differences.
To answer his question, the motor in a LS1-era B4C is, AFAIK, exactly like a production Z28 LS1 of the same year.

TWS is dead on right. My buddy has a 2002 B4C, it is no different than my 2002 z28 hard top. Concerning Texas DPS Trooper cars, I have worked on 3 that are now privately owned, and they have none of the above extra stuff. Even the alt is the same, and they also all come in 16 inch snowflake alloys, basic equipment for a low buck Z28. The motor is the same as well, I have seen it dynoed stock, and it is exactly the same power level as a stripped z28. The VIN denotes the car as a z28 to insurance companies as well, not getting you any premium reduction. To make a long rant short, you would be getting a basic LS1 setup comparable to any Z28, nothing extra, nothing short.
