The ws6store short stick is nice. I have it and a Hurst shift ****, but stock shifter. It hits the console EVERY time I shift into second, and sometimes when I shift into fourth. It drives me INSANE. It's even worse when you have change in the cup holder/ash tray and it makes a "*****" sound when it hits the console. It's pissing me off just thinking about it. Oh well, I'm so used to it now I don't notice it every time.

The short stick is a no brainer. I replaced my stock Hurst shifter with the Ws6 Store short throw and it works great. It took about 4.235 minutes to install, and it doesn't hit anything in any gear. For $25 shipped, this should be the first mod to any f-body with the factory Hurst Shifter.

Let me be the dissenting opinion here. While the WS6 store short stick is an excellent piece ( I ordered one and installed it ) it moved the shifter over WAY too far to the passenger side for my liking. I'm running a Hurst Billet Plus shifter as well. I took the WS6 short stick off and had the stock Hurst stick chopped and welded about 2.75" shorter and it is INCREDIBLE the difference in feel. Just my take on things.

I just installed the short stick yesterday, along with four baer eradispeed rotors, hawk pads, and buffed out a couple scratches. I was a good day for my bird! The difference in shifting is amazing for such a small investment. Mine also does not come close to hitting the console. I have the stock hurst shifter.

No, I installed it correctly. The stick goes straight up. It's not biased to the drivers side like stock or the Hurst unit. So when you're in first with the short stick, the shift ball is in the same approximate position as it would be with the stock shifter in third. I just didn't like how that felt so I modified my Hurst stick. Here are a few pics:

Again in first, with boot up:

Maybe its just the way I sit in my car that the shifter postion doesn't bother me. I thought mine was dead center of the console. I was just happy to get rid of the stock shifter.
