Default I Hate You All!!!

Noone told me T56 cars and LSX motors were so freaking awesome!!! A guy loaned me his LS2 GTO M6 to drive today for a bit and WOW!!!! My car felt like *** after driving it. The clutch/transmission were AMAZING! and the power...like a table, perfectly linear. WOW.

I called a friend afterwards and told him, he has driven his borthers LS2 GTO M6 as well as an M6 LS1 F-body. He told me the F-body "felt" faster, was a little louder, and a little rougher over bumps/had 1 or 2 more rattles, but was pretty much the same "feel"

WHY DIDNT ANYONE TELL ME THESE THINGS WERE SO DRIVER FRIENDLY!?!?!

I owned a 95 TA before, but the LS2 motor (about = to an LS1 in a lighter car from what I have seen/felt) was SICK! and the T56 with LS6 clutch...dang. I CANT WAIT TO GET MY Z NEXT SUMMER!!!!

(I have yet to drive a T56 F-bod LS1, was my friend's assessment correct? How MANY more bumps/rattles? Were they "refined" any more in the time space from 95-01and02? Or will it feel like my 95 TA did?

They seem to be pretty solid. Get some basic suspension upgrades and make the chassis a bit stronger and it will feel as solid as a diamond in an ice storm. They are great cars and easy to mod. Let us know when you pick yours up.

It will be a while. Do I need Subframes?I know it will "improve" the feel, but I dont plan on slicks or any mods really other than a lid/cutout. I know 5.0s suck *** and need subframes ASAP even at stock power levels, I assume the F-bod is more rigid and wont knock doors out of alignment on street tires without them.

subframe can make a night and day different. the motors will flex and dimple the damn 1/4 pannels and I got pics if you want it to prove it. they can brace the entire body and stop t top elaks and squeaks/rattles before they can even come into paly or cure ones you already got

i had a roll cage and huge sub frames and i still got some small ripples in my quarter pannels from jerking the car around so much and slamming it down, that stuff helps but still wont prevent it.

mines just an A4 with a full exhaust and SFC's and it still has plenty of rattles (and only 32,000 mile), but it's still fun to drive.

I hear ya on that one!!!!

My car squeks every once in awhile just depending on the weather and if I hit a bump. But for some reason my LoudMouth fixed it

But my LS1 M6 is by far one of the funnest cars I've ever driven, and deffinitely the funnest one I've ever had. A simple 4.10 swap seems to take it up a notch. I read your other thread about 4.10s in an LS1 car, and yeah they do make your rear-end I timb bomb, but they are a blast out on the street.

Lmao, I get the front tires of my 5.0 off the ground at LEAST once a month, sometimes only 6" or so, but other times, at LEAST 5'.

Okay...it spends a LOT of time in the shop on a lift/jack and sometimes just the oil changed

I have 145k on the body of my car, it really doesnt rattle or squeek, the only time I get a rattle is going on a really bumpy road the hatch kinda rattles, the rear seats used to squeek but I put some electrical tape around the part the latch clicks over, and some lubricating oil in the hinges and its quiet as a mouse. My friend has a 25k SS M6 and his is really fun to drive, no rattles or anything, the M6 feels great, and the power is like you said, a table.

They're fun stock, but even better modded! A heads/cam F-bod can make killer numbers, be perfectly streetable, and still knock out 25-30 mpg....see sig Also, FYI, with only bolt-ons, my car laid down 354/373, and ran 12.3@113, and that wasn't even full bolt-ons These cars kickass
