WoW That was a very nice SS and GT . I went through all my wreck with my first cars a 93 Mazda 88hp and a 93 prelude Vtech 200hp. LOL got my formula at 19 never had i wreck I caused since. Got rear ended by a lifted f-150 and 2 years later just recently let my bro borrow it and he took it up on a curb at 40 thank god that I had full coverage. Really goes to show dont matter the age no matter how old you are if you abuse the power in a fast car it comes back to bite ya.

Im 17 and own my 1999 Trans Am WS6, which mommy and daddy didnt help me one bit on getting it, ive learned to respect these cars and not **** around. Ive done all the mods on it myself, even the engine swap, i have learned to respect the power that it makes and dont listen to fuckwads that tell me to "Burn EM" or the dipshits who drive stupid fast in the wet. Ive found out that if you have to buy and work to keep your own car and dont get a hand-me-down that you have more respect for it and will keep better care of it... btw ive only had 2 tickets of which none were in my TA.

I hate people that blame the car for the accident, 90% of the time its the drivers error not the car. If your gonna **** around dont do it where you can hurt other people.

Ive done my fair amount of stupid ****, but it wasnt in a low 12 second car.

i am a firm believer in working for what you have, ive worked my *** off for all my cars, ive always had a full time job when most of my friends and kids i hung out with sat at home all day, then when they got their license rich mommy and daddy bought them what they wanted. Most were either totalled or taken away due to tickets.
You just need to be responsible and think for a second "is this a good idea?"

I completely agree with this. When you work for what you have you think twice about the stuipd **** your about to do. The first car I bought with my own money was a 1992 RS Camaro with a 305. We did all sorts of **** in that car but never anything bad when ANYONE was around, and never at high speeds. The car did get totald cause I was driving out of our highschool parking lot and someone jumped infront of me I swerved to hit their tire(no time to even hit the breaks) if i hadnt hit their truck tire they probably would have flipped leading to a possible worse case sencario for them. and although still driveable the insurance company called it totaled.

The bottum line is when you get bull-headed about your car and what it can do....your gonna get a bad wake-up call some day

I used to think I was a much better driver than I am now. I ended up totalling my Explorer. Since I bought my Ranger (new) and had to pay for everything done to it (maintenance stuff), I think I had a lot more respect for cars.

Since then I've been racing my friend's Corvette in some autocross courses, and I think I have become a much better driver since. I still don't beat on my truck much, but I know how to tell where the limit is, and know to steer well clear of that on the street, in any car.

I havent had any issues or tickets and I been driving fbodies since i was 16, 3 years now. I had one minor thing but im gonna blame that one on the weather(had to go over a flooded bridge to go home), wasnt any serious damage though, nothing i couldnt fix myself.

theres always times to do burnouts...what about burnout contests?

By the way I'm 19 be 20 in November, and for a 1998 Trans Am its bout $230 a month for me, with Ram Air it'd be $254 a month. WS6 is really 25 bucks more a month Nothing should be on my record by now (every time i've gotten in trouble went on a diversion and went off my record).

I'm 18 and i've had my car for about 3 months now and plan on storing it in the winter. i've never had any close calls or any speeding tickets. i the car isn't made for cornering and i have bald tires that will be replaced next year but all you have to do is be careful i payed for the car (8,700) and i am paying to have it fully covered (980 for 6 months) and i respect it completely cause i know its got alot of power and can be put sideways in a heartbeat.

You shoulda sold the cars to me then. When i was in high school i started out with a 75 chevy with a cammed 350 in it. Never wrecked that one despite it having leaky brakes. Then i got a 93 z28 when i was about 18 or so and i did many burnouts egged on by freinds and even took it to 145 a few times and still no wrecks (some lady did drive up onto my hood once in her suv but that wasnt a wreck really). I then drove a 91 explorer for a few years still no wrecks. Now i own a 2000 z28 and havn't wrecked it yet. Knock on wood. I'm 21 now and i've calmed down alot in the last few years. I've always driven fast but i've neer been one for fast and stupid. Fast is not what gets ya it's the stupid part. I had a freind that use to swerve in and out of traffic going 120 in his v-6 camaro and he wrecked it after 8 months or so. His next car didn't take long to kill it either.
