i have a modded 02 SS drivven daily and never any problems outta it my g/f has a 02 Z28 and my friends have a few Z28's and never had any problems outta them ever EXCEPT the darn window motors they suck. other than that you get a bad looking car that performs for a decent price i ensure you'll like it.

hmm lets see.... 160,000 miles, ive had the car for 30,000, the 130,000 before that were miles put on it when it was in the state police.. only thing ive had problems with is the water pump started dripping.. stock motor and transmission.. so id say they are pretty reliable, but what would i know :-p

biggest thing is that some of the cars got axels that were out of round, thats really the only problem ever with LS1s unless you mess with it or do something stupid to it yourself

my car was a lease car, at 34500 miles. only needed a window motor for the past 3 years, but now since ive been driving on the worst roads in North america, i have to do tie rods and i have a bad bearing in the back somewhere.

ehh 50/50 in all honesty

if you are good to it and dont jerk it around all the time they can be very reliable but I mean who honestly wont jerk it around a bit eh?

They are well built cars overall but have their weak points...window motors, intake leak, 10 bolt rear ends cough *i wouldnt know that though cough* and leaky t-tops.

All-in-all great car, but unless you have money to spend on it for when something does break, not the car for you as parts are expensive especially when you get the mod bug

they wont totally stop it though, not even a full race cage will prevent some twisted of the body.
