At lights I see people looking around trying to figure out whose making the noise, then when the see its a late gen car the have a suprised look on their face. The best one I ever had was this old old lady. She looked like she was 75-80 and she kept staring at my car like there was something wrong then she nods her head and says sounds good. lol that made my day. Most poeple dont care for the big noise machine

Hey no need to throw things, like I said, just what I've USUALLY seen/heard about it, that the lower you go, the harder it is to tune it. How's the cold start/warm start idle?

I'm gonna have to get a video for you, you'll change your mind in a hearbeat.

That would be cool, the one I have is on a 114 and if your's idles better than mine on cold/warm start, then a retune is in order.

I have been told that i need trusses in my mufflers... I have also been told that .609 lift is waaaaaay too big and that i shouldnt have any higher than a .500 lift cam which the size of a stock cam...haha. I have also been asked if i had a 454 in my car. Everybody that hears it thinks its built... when all it is is a cam only SS with lt's, x-pipe and dumps.

Vids are below my sig pic. First one is warm start/idle & rev, third one is cold start/idle/driving. Idle is set at 750rpm.....that took some time. Running stock 3.23's by the way.

750?! Damn, I'm on 2.73s and this cam idles at 950. I'll check the vids now.

EDIT: Wow very nice, mines is nowhere near that steady. I have to get a vid of inside the car but here's a soundclip of the cold start when it was on it's first tune. I've had the car tuned 3 times after and my tuner dumped fuel out so that the car can hit harder off the line but cold start and warm start she's a bit iffy.

When I drive my car to work every once in a while I drive by alot of farm land, and I usually tend to freak out the horses. They look up and book it across their field its so funny.

True, I want to hear Monica's setup on cold start. Her cam is a bit bigger than the one I have.

226/236 .525"/.525" 110LSA 108ICL
not "big" by any means, but the big duration split, narrow lsa and icl make it behave like a much bigger grind.

I'll get you a video this weekend. I was gonna get one last night, but my car is dirty, and she likes to look pretty for the camera.

Need a vid from inside the car so that I can see the tach. I'm gonna see if I can make mines today but it's a bit toasty out there and I can only imagine how it is inside the car right now.

I am still deciding on what cam to get when ever I do get one. What would you say the power range of your cam is?

Power potential or rpm range? Not sure which you're asking, but rpm operating range listed by GMPP is 2300-6500 rpm. I haven't dyno'd my car yet, but from what I've seen/read, with a stock pulley, ls1 intake, longtubes & tuning will put out in the neighborhood of 375/375 on an m6 car. Adding an ls6 intake & underdrive crank pulley should pick up another 20-30rwhp, ported ls6 heads should add another 30-40rwhp. Not bad for a cam that can go 100k miles on valvesprings.
