Cobra.. but I am biased. I too have torch red Cobra and with a few mods it is at 515RWHP -486RWTQ.

Here are my two redheaded step-children.

Good Luck both are nice vehicles and either way you go it's a win win.

"Better"...now there's a strong word that you can quantify. Please
explain how it's "better". Is it faster, lighter, cheaper, stronger internally,
etc. "Better" is pretty much meaningless.

Well the LS1=346 to the Cobra's 281. Maybe that's what he means when he says a blown LS1 is "better"

But that doesn't mean faster, more reliable, makes more power,
higher in quality, etc.

I have also fought myself over this same question, with the cobra, 2k in mods usually ends up around 500 hp. But you have to spend 25-30k on the car. Now with the SS, you can get a nice one around 15k, build it for about 5k-10k, turbo kit plus tuning, 5k... and can have well, well over 500 hp. So, imo, it ends up aorund the same whichever you want to do. I am also torn between 00+SS or 03-04 Cobra. Very hard decision. But, if you already have a SS, and you want a black one, I just say give yours a good black paint job, and buy a Cobra. =]

Just go test drive both. Then decide which one YOU like better and which one fits your criteria for a car. More importantly know your budget. It ain't worth going in the tank for a car. Then buy the car that meets most of your criteria. Any other pros and cons anyone else has to offer are all subjective.

so are the cobras.....

my buddy has an 04 Kenne Bell super charged cobra and an 06 GTO. he is keeping the GTO as his DD and selling the cobra for an 04 Z06.

go with a vette man. you will be much happier.

cobra's are nice, but they are more expensive to mod.

It was simply an example of a word used to quantify thoughts. Example:
The Camaro is lighter, therefore it's "better".

Are you telling me that 'vettes are cheap to mod?

I think vettes are more expensive to mod. Either way your going to be digging deep into your pockets to mod either one

Almost as many members voting in favor of the Camaro SS , but seems only those in favor of the Cobra are posting. hmmm..

Well I voted for the Camaro SS.

Personal preference. Not need to quantify or qualify, just personal preference.

Oh, and FI works on Camaros too.
