2000 is the best year IMO. It will beat down a 97 Trans Am.

The LT1 is a strong motor, don't get me wrong. The LT1 is basically a truck motor from the 50's with better heads and intake manifold, slap on a 4-barrel and you got ya a good ole chevy three fiddy. The LS1 however, was built from a clean sheet of paper for exactly what we have in mind to do with our cars. It's a display of what GM's engineers can do. I urge you to drive a healthy LS1 car, LS1 has power out-tha-*** and that will make your mind up for you if you drive one.
