400hp at the motor without accessories and with electric water pump is what most LS1's make on an engine stand. the SLP options dont matter as its nothing internal and exhaust doesnt matter on a stand, nor does a lid.

How do you figure they make 400 at the motor? Its more like 345-350. The LS1's are underrated, but not by THAT much.

Incorrect. It makes around 400fwhp. You forget that you are taking POWERTRAIN loss at 15-17% to end up with 350hp. I said WITHOUT exhaust...water pump...alternator...AC pully...ect. Let me get you a dyno graph.

Oh, I see what you are saying. Boy do I feel dumb. You are right, you will lose a good bit of power when you get all the accesory stuff on there and the exhaust. Then you lose another 15% or so through the drivetrain, when you measure it on a chassis dyno.

Yeah, its all good. But yes, prolly 350 or so with accessories. If you notice the graph I posted also includes calculated whp.

all headers make about the same power, you spend more for better quality, fitment, and finish

cats- depends on where you live, and what kind of exhaust your run, if you want the car really loud or not. cats will tone things down just a bit, and take out some rasp that some cat-backs are known to have

I'm running Hooker LTs with TDs, no cats and dumped at the axle, yea its loud

I haven't come acrossed anything to prove one underdrive pulley to be better than a different one, get the one you can get a good deal one

calm down the ? marks, theres a for sale section on the forum, after completing a sale with someone, you give them a rating based on if the transaction went well or not
