Lol j/k I have the MTI clear lid, looks grat with a K&N under it.I have a shift kit as well, but I still say go with the lid first.
I'm not looking to put much power into her. I'll probably be done after the lid, SK and some of the free mods.

Blazingz28 - I thought a cooler wouldn't be needed for a SK.

I have had a Granatelli (sold it cause the fit and finish SUCKED) and an SLP, which I LOVE (fit and finish is better than any other lid I have seen. Then my buddy has a Whisper lid and that thing fits like total ***! He was so pissed as we tried to get it to fit. The finish is also very rough and the color isn't a good match with the rest of the under hood components.

Brian is talking about my car, the lid didnt want to seat right, but after a while he figured it out and it fits fine now.....Just didnt push it in far enough....As for the looks, I dont really care if it goes with anything, people arent going to see under the hood all that often.....

The Whisper lids fit just fine. It's usually installer error as to why lids (of any brand) don't fit on someone's car.

As for the appearance, that's all subjective. Personally, I don't like the SLP look because of their huge embossed logo.

+2 for a Lid. I recommend the SLP lid. Great fit and finish.

SLP lid. I dont think all aftermarket lids should be considered equal. In fact, GMHTP just did a lid comparo. I think maybe SLP and Texas Speed were on top? Anyhow, we like our SLP.

1-lid. 2-catback. 3-3.73 gears. That's the best $700 you can spend at first.
